Permissions

To manage a multitude of tasks with many people involved in the process requires both flexibility, user control and transparency

One of the key features of Fleet Monitor is its robust role-based access control (RBAC) capabilities, which ensure that only authorized users have access to the specific areas of the system that are relevant to their needs. By way of defining roles to different users, you decide what they see, what they can do – at what time in the workflow.

Our user permission tool allows you to give access to all relevant people across your organization and even outside your own organization, to perform their tasks from the same platform. This means that you, as a company, can make sure that efficiency is implemented in every step of the process, while you secure focus on the relevant tasks at hand from the relevant people – at the right time.

This is especially important in the case of fleet management, where multiple partners and stakeholders access to different parts of the system. With Fleet Monitor’s user permission set up you easily grant or revoke access as needed, giving you complete control over who can see and work with your data.

Why permissions benefit your organization

User, role, and access management (permissions) are fundamental features of process management software. These permissions play a crucial role in controlling what users can view and modify within the software, ensuring data security and promoting collaboration.

With customizable and flexible permissions, you can maintain the appropriate balance of collaboration and control. For instance, if you’re managing a complex process, you may need to ensure that specific users have access to certain data while others have restricted access. User, role, and access permissions help you achieve this balance.

User management allows you to manage permissions at the individual user level. This feature allows you to specify what each user can view and edit within the software.

Role management enables you to manage permissions at the role level. When you make changes to a role’s access, these changes are automatically applied to every user assigned to that role. For instance, you can create a “viewer” role with read-only access to specific parts of the software, ensuring that team members can view information but not modify it.

Access management allows you to manage permissions tied to specific parts of the software. With this feature, you can assign different permission levels to users for different parts of the software. For example, you can grant full access to a folder for a team that needs to edit the information, but restrict read-only access to other users who only need to view it.
